A data-first tool, not a promise.
College App Insider exists because the most consequential decision most families will make in their kid's teenage years is also the one with the worst signal-to-noise ratio. The public datasets that admissions offices, counselors, and aid officers actually use are sitting in plain sight. Few parents ever see them. We built the product so they can.
Who we are
College App Insider is a product of FrankVenture LLC, a Texas limited liability company. We are independent, single-product focused, and not funded by venture capital, ad revenue, data licensing, lead generation, or commission deals with colleges or counselors. Our revenue is paid subscriptions, full stop.
What we hold ourselves to
- Every chart cites a source. If we ever publish a number we cannot point to a public dataset for, we have made a mistake. Tell us and we will fix it.
- The chance score is an educational tool, never a prediction. Read the full methodology for what it does and does not account for.
- Your data is not the product.We do not sell your kid's profile, your activity log, or your saved schools to anyone, ever. The full picture lives in our privacy policy.
- No outcome guarantees. Anyone who tells you they can guarantee admission to a specific school is not telling you the truth. Our copy is held to that standard.
Why we are not influencers
Most of what gets shared about admissions on social media is anecdote, survivorship bias, or a sponsorship in disguise. We have no admissions horror stories to peddle and no acceptances to put on a billboard. The work the product does is unglamorous: pulling Common Data Set filings, cross-referencing the Common App requirements file, decomposing Early-Decision and Regular-Decision splits where schools publish them, and turning all of that into a punch list your kid can actually work from.
